Shake-up for Intel as EMC poaches Gelsinger

Intel has been forced into a big management shake-up after the data storage company EMC poached a top executive from the world's biggest chipmaker.

Pat Gelsinger, a 30-year Intel veteran who was at one time seen as a potential successor to Paul Otellini as chief executive, is leaving to become president and chief operating officer of EMC Information Infrastructure Products.
