Mosley intends to stand for re-election

Max Mosley hit back at the Formula One teams trying to oust him as head of motorsport’s governing body, saying their planned breakaway series was a direct challenge to its authority and making clear he would stand for re-election.

After promising legal action against the Formula One Teams Association, the president of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile appeared at the weekend to have softened his tough stance, saying he preferred to mediate rather than litigate.
