Case study: Monks accelerate

Life in the quiet, cloistered world of an abbey is expected to be slow. Life for the monks of Caldey Island in Wales, however, has accelerated thanks to recent installation of a wireless broadband service.

“Patience is one of the characteristics of monastic life, but even the patience of the brothers was being tested by our slow dial-up internet service,” says Father Daniel, the abbot of Caldey Abbey.
