‘Mixed picture’ on NHS improvements

The quality of care in the National Health Service has improved significantly over the past decade, one of the most systematic studies of the issue has concluded.

But, on the latest figures available, the UK still lags behind other leading countries for death rates from cancer and for five-year survival from the most common cancers.
