UK pushes to speed up levy on air pollution

Britain will today lead a charge to bring forward the timetable for making the world's airlines pay for the cost of their pollution.

Senior UK ministers will argue at a meeting today in Germany for their inclusion in the European Union's greenhouse gas trading scheme within two years.
