Irish bad bank law published

The Irish government has bowed to criticism of its bank rescue plan, amending the legislation to ensure the banks share in any future losses the state incurs in selling off the banks’ distressed property loans.

The so-called risk-sharing provision is the key change to the legislation setting up the National Asset Management Agency, published on Thursday ahead of the second reading of the bill in parliament next week.
