Cement industry suffers amid global downturn

They may trail banks, insurers and carmakers for unpopularity among investors, but the world’s leading cement companies are not far behind.

Classically cyclical stocks, groups such as Lafarge, Holcim, Cemex and HeidelbergCement , the world leaders, have seen their share prices flattened because of fears about economic growth.
