Foreigners fill new UK jobs

The number of British nationals in work has fallen in the past two years, as 540,000 foreign workers have replaced them and taken all of the net new jobs created in the economy.

The revelation that foreign nationals – not Britons – are filling the jobs in the expanding labour market was described by the Conservatives as “profoundly disturbing” and may fuel the heated immigration debate.
