Raúl Salinas wins murder conviction appeal

Raúl Salinas de Gortari, brother of former Mexican President Carlos Salinas, is likely to be released from prison within days, after a panel of judges upheld an appeal against his conviction for organising the murder of his former brother-in-law.

The decision ends one of the most controversial and politically charged legal cases in Mexican history.
