Satyam picks new auditors

Satyam Computer Services named two new auditors on Wednesday, in a move by the government-appointed board to restore confidence and clarify the liquidity status of the company, which has been hit by a fraud worth more than $1bn.

KPMG and Deloitte will replace PwC, which on Wednesday said that its opinions on Satyam’s accounts could not be relied on following the admission of fraud by the chairman of the IT software outsourcing company.
