The company that runs the Channel Tunnel saw some of its services occupied at record levels in October as demand held up surprisingly well after the disruption of September’s fire.

Groupe Eurotunnel said its cross-Channel truck shuttles were on average around 90 per cent full over the month, compared with the normal 75 per cent.
