Conservatives' review calls for radical change and lower rates

The next Conservative government should radically overhaul business and personal taxes to create a "much flatter system with lower rates" the party's tax review commission has -recommended.

The Forsyth commission's 40 proposals for tax changes include abolishing inheritance tax, scrapping stamp duty on shares and cutting the corporation tax rate. The package would cost "around £21bn", according to the report.
