Vodafone has struck a deal with Apple to sell iPhones in the UK, in an to boost the mobile operator’s ailing British business.

However, it emerged on Tuesday that Vodafone had missed out on the chance to notch up iPhone sales in the run-up to Christmas, and will start selling the US technology company’s handset only in January.
