Nine dead and intelligence office hit in Peshawar attack

A suicide car bomber killed at least nine people in Peshawar, the troubled city in northern Pakistan, yesterday and badly damaged the offices in the city used by the country's main counter-espionage intelligence service.

Peshawar has seen frequent attacks since the military launched a campaign last month in nearby South Waziristan to target suspected Taliban sanctuaries.
