Chrysalis decides 155p price is not right

At the end of a long process, Chris Wright, executive chairman of Chrysalis, decided on Tuesday that the price was not right for him to become the man who sold the world.

The company, owner of a catalogue featuring David Bowie and a host of other artists, announced a single offer of 155p a share, giving Chrysalis an enterprise value of about £133m, far short of what Mr Wright and his investors could accept.
