A jury on Monday found Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person to stand trial in the US over the September 11 attacks, eligible for the death penalty.

The jury will reconvene on Thursday for the next stage in the sentencing trial to determine whether Mr Moussaoui, a 37-year old French national of Moroccan descent, should be executed or given life in prison without parole.
