Result of cargo cartel probe faces delay

A long-awaited probe by Europe’s top competition watchdog into a suspected price-fixing cartel on cargo flights is unlikely to result in a final decision before the European Commission goes into caretaker mode next month.

Airlines, which could face very heavy fines running to hundreds of millions of euros, had been expecting the issue to be discussed by commission officials this Friday.
