Financial services groups to cut recruitment of graduates

Financial services companies are expected to recruit almost 15 per cent fewer graduates this year in the wake of the credit crunch, with at least two groups placing "a total freeze on graduate recruitment", according to a study published today.

The survey of almost 100 private and public sector graduate employers reported the graduate recruitment market was generally "holding up" but "could easily tip downwards if a wider slowdown takes place".
