Business leaders, economic development officials and academics have linked up to examine ways that Scotland can use its expertise to capture more of the fast-growing global market in outsourcing.

A think-tank, called the Outsourcing Hub Initiative, has met to consider how Scotland can benefit from its strengths in financial services, life sciences and energy to develop its capabilities. It is the brainchild of Andrew Rigby, a lawyer who believes that Scotland could add billions of pounds to its economic output by seizing this opportunity.
