Old Mutual, the South African insurer, on Thursday said Jonathan Nicholls, its finance director, was leaving less than two months after its chief executive also left the company.

Philip Broadley, formerly financial director at Prudential, the UK life assurer, will step into the role at the group which provides life assurance and asset management.
