INDIA Iran announced on Monday it successfully test-fired a medium-range Shahab-3 missile, raising the stakes ahead of crucial talks with the US and other world powers this week.
The announcement drew a concerned reaction from states that will attend the Geneva talks. The US called the missile test-firings “provocative”, while Russia’s foreign minister, usually cautious in criticising Iran, termed it “worrisome”.
