Madoff family members facing lawsuits

Bernard Madoff’s two sons, brother and niece are set to be hit with lawsuits as part of a widening effort by the trustee seeking to recover money for the former broker’s victims.

Irving Picard, the court-appointed trustee, described his plan in an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, saying: “Whether or not they have a criminal problem, we will pursue them as far as we can pursue them and if that leads to bankrupting them, then that’s what will happen.”
