Richard Dunwoody, 44, three times the champion National Hunt Jockey, was forced to retire in December 1999 due to a neck injury.

Born in Belfast, Dunwoody moved when he was eight to Gloucestershire, where his father was a stud manager. He first sat on a saddle at the age of two.
