GM’s action hero lauded for driving reforms

Meetings of General Motors’ auto strategy board, the company’s top management group, used to stretch over a full day or more.

But since Fritz Henderson took the wheel on March 30, participants are often back in their offices shortly after lunch. “It’s much more action-biased than it used to be,” says one person familiar with the meetings. “Now, every discussion ends with a decision.”
