The BBC’s in-house makeover man

How do you govern an organisation that receives £3bn ($5.2bn) of public money? It is a question, says Michael Grade, that keeps him awake at night.

The BBC chairman does not look like a man stricken with insomnia, but he says the interests of viewers who pay the compulsory annual £126.50 television licence fee – the corporation’s main source of income – are his ultimate responsibility.
