Barclays Capital says interest in carbon trading among its clients has risen enormously over the past 12 months, despite recent
volatility.
Louis Redshaw, head of environmental markets at Barclays Capital, says: “We are seeing more counter-parties coming in every day, and the market is still growing among the existing counterparties.”
