Games’ Velodrome sets architectural pace

Architecture moved centre stage on Thursday on the announcement of the winning design for one of the largest venues in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Hopkins Architects, designer of the Lord’s Mound Stand and Glyndebourne Opera House, has been chosen to build the 6,000-seat Velodrome.
