The Iraqi parliament's biggest political bloc has called for all US troops to leave the country by the end of 2011 as a condition for agreeing to extend the US mandate to remain beyond the end of this year, an official said yesterday.

The United Iraqi Alliance also insisted on a bigger role for Iraq in deciding if US soldiers accused of wrongdoing were subject to Iraqi courts.
