Charities vulnerable to fraud, says report

Many charities are ill-prepared to deal with fraud, according to the Fraud Advisory Panel.

The panel, a charity formed in 1998 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, says research shows 60 per cent of charities have no significant anti-fraud policies and procedures in place. That increases to almost three-quarters among the smaller charities.
