Jobs in the City are increasing dramatically, with a leap of 52 per cent in the number of positions advertised in the first two weeks of this year, according to Morgan McKinley, the financial recruitment company.

The jump in vacancies compared with the same time last year has been almost matched by a43 per cent jump in the number of candidates, leading Morgan McKinley to predict a good year for City hiring in its latest employment monitor, published this week.
