Shares in UK-listed Phorm fell by over 40 per cent yesterday after BT Group, the former state-owned telecoms operator, said it had no "immediate plans" to adopt Phorm's targeted advertising technology, branded Webwise.
BT had been expected to be the first UK broadband provider to launch Phorm's service to customers after completing a trial of the technology - which matches online advertisements to consumers' interests - last year.
