Rocket scientist promotes open culture

On Saturday mornings in Washington state, the home of Boeing's commercial aircraft unit, when most working Americans are taking a break, Jim Albaugh is in at the office with a group of his top executives going over the world's most closely watched aircraft project, Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, writes Pilita Clark.

As the new head of Boeing's commercial aircraft division explained in an interview at the Dubai air show this week, Saturday morning is an excellent time to meet: "I can get everybody's attention."
