Mumbai’s fishing district comes to a standstill

Dawn erupted on Friday for the frightened residents of Colaba fishing district in southern Mumbai as troops fired a fusillade at a building where terrorists were holding a family hostage in a Jewish community centre.

With the army’s Rapid Action Force providing covering fire, a helicopter dropped 15 elite “Black Cat” anti-terrorist commandos on to the roof.
