An evangelical Christian group is planning to turn one of London's best known independent cinemas into a church and filmhouse for "wholesome" movies.
Elim Pentecostal Church, the new owners of the Coronet Cinema, a classic converted Victorian theatre in the heart of Notting Hill currently screening Shaun of the Dead, have said they will apply to change the building's official status so it can be used for conducting Christian services, as well as showing "films for family viewing".
