Carlsberg upbeat about prospects in Russia

Carlsberg remains confident about its big bet on the Russian beer market and it is not expecting a large devaluation of the rouble, the Danish brewer’s chief executive told the Financial Times.

“Of course there will be some impact on the Russian market based on the global situation, but look at the trend. Three years out, Russia will still be a growth market and will grow more than Denmark or the UK or the US,” Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen said.
