Ford happy to take its own route

Ford, the sole member of Detroit’s big three to do without federal bail-out money, has been cited as a victim of overweening government intervention.

But Bill Ford, chairman, does not see things that way. “We don’t know what the implications are going to be but one thing is for sure: I like our position,” he told reporters on the sideline of a conference in Detroit on Monday.
