Amid all the fury over Alan Johnson's dismissal of a scientist called Professor Nutt - you have to wonder if anyone would remember his name if he were called Professor Hazel - for expressing heretical views on drugs policy, the real issue is being missed.

Prof David Nutt was ditched after asserting that riding horses was more dangerous than taking ecstasy.
