Tories praise executive bonus model

The Tories yesterday praised John Lewis-style curbs on executive rewards as a way of tackling the increasing gap between rich and poor, in another incursion by David Cameron into classic Labour territory.

Michael Gove, the shadow schools secretary and a close ally of Mr Cameron, used a wide-ranging speech on social policy to highlight Tory concern about "the growing breach between richer and poorer".
