Lenders plan joint ventures to survive

Banks will enter into more strategic partnerships with rivals to help them compete in the increasingly globalised industry, according to a new study.

The report, which surveyed 637 bankers from 320 banks worldwide, said that the global financial system is expected to quadruple by 2025 to nearly $1,300bn.
