Meteoric Zwirn falls down to earth

In an organisational chart sent to DB Zwirn investors in July 2006 all boxes point to Daniel Zwirn.

The 36-year-old founded the group in October 2001, when investors were first answering the siren call of hedge funds promising high yields at a time of low interest rates. Mr Zwirn had worked previously as a senior portfolio manager at Highbridge Capital Management and for the private investment arm of Michael Dell.
