BA cabin crew plan 72-hour strikes

British Airways cabin crew are planning a series of three 72-hour official strikes from next Monday, which could paralyse the operations of Europe's third largest airline at its global hub at Heathrow and its secondary base at Gatwick.

The strikes, which are planned to take place from Monday to Wednesday in each of the next three weeks, represent the biggest industrial relations threat to BA since Willie Walsh took over as chief executive in October 2005.
