Business and show business rubbed shoulders at Old Billingsgate market in honour of the National Film and Television School, making for auction entertainment. The crowd watched as actors Hugh Grant and Daniel Craig bid against each other for an uncorrected proof manuscript of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the first in the series, signed by JK Rowling, driving the price to £18,000. A slightly odd combination of a guided tour of the Harry Potter film set by Robbie Coltrane (he plays Hagrid in the films) and a kiss from each of Messrs Grant, Craig and Coltrane also drove the audience into a frenzy. A condition was that the kisses would only be forthcoming if the winning bidder was a woman and it was duly won by Barbara Broccoli , daughter of Cubby, who owned the James Bond film franchise. Miss Broccoli, herself the producer of the last five 007 movies, paid a lipsmacking £19,000.
