Democrats take aim at drug industry profits

Senior US Democrats, from Nancy Pelosi to Rahm Emanuel, have quickly served notice that a top priority in the wake of their congressional victories is to put pressure on drug prices and the pharmaceuticals industry.

Drugmakers are firmly on the agenda of the Democrats, whose election victories on Tuesday have put them in control of Congress for the first time in 12 years.
