Service providers pressed to cut charges

Businesses are using the fear of a downturn to press outsourcers to cut prices by up to 23 per cent as they renegotiate extensions to long-term deals, a study warned yesterday.

Research into more than 100 outsourcing deals, each worth more than £30m a year, found "a marked increase in the price pressure on outsourcing vendors in the first two months of this year".
