Cobham buys Tyco radio unit

Cobham took its US acquisition spree to more than $1bn this year with the purchase of a defence electronics supplier.

The British aerospace and defence group will pay $425m (£218m) cash for M/A-Com, a supplier of radio frequency components and subsystems, from Tyco Electronics.
