Carmakers drive European stocks lower

Auto stocks pushed European bourses lower as concerns about oil and raw materials prices drove shares towards key resistance levels.

Italy’s Fiat was in the vanguard of losers, falling 7.9 per cent to €10.66 while Germany’s BMW fell 3.4 per cent to €31.28, approaching their resistance levels of €10 and €30 respectively.
