ECB inflation fears lead to talk of interest rate rise

Eurozone interest rates are expected to rise next week for the first time in more than five years as the European Central Bank tries to choke inflationary pressures.

Jean Claude Trichet, ECB president, has said any change should not be seen as the beginning of a series of rises, which has raised doubts as to how much further rates will increase.
