Netanyahu under fire over Likud defeat

It was a day of recriminations in Likud after Benjamin Netanyahu led the party that dominated Israeli politics for much of the past three decades to a humiliating electoral defeat.

As the 56-year-old former prime minister and finance minister vowed he would stay on, party loyalists blamed his personality and his economic policies for contributing to the catastrophe.
