BNP chief explains how he has weathered the storm

Baudouin Prot has a bone to pick with those who say BNP Paribas, France's biggest bank, owes its financial crisis resilience to being ultra-cautious - boring, even.

The bank, which once hired Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the now French president's wife, to advertise its mutual funds, is not unduly risk averse, its chief executive says.
