Board of Nymex looks over offers

Board members of the New York Mercantile Exchange met yesterday for the second consecutive day to review options for the future ownership structure of the world's largest energy futures exchange.

Nymex is reviewing offers from private equity groups Blackstone and General Atlantic to buy a 20 per cent stake in the exchange, with a view to taking Nymex to an initial public offering.
